Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between Gareth Bradley, a sole trader trading as Pulse Training, of 34 Daffodil Wynd, Blyth NE24 4UF, United Kingdom ("Pulse", "we", "us"), and the organization that creates a Pulse account ("you", the "Customer"). By creating an account or using Pulse, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your organization.
2. What Pulse is
Pulse is a live, host-guided training platform. A host runs a structured training program step by step — informational slides, polls, branching scenarios, discussion prompts, and word clouds — while participants join from their own device using a short session code and follow along in real time. On paid plans, Pulse can also generate AI-assisted coaching notes and personalized end-of-session recaps for participants.
3. Accounts, organizations, and hosts
A Pulse account belongs to an organization ("tenant"). The person who registers an organization is its owner; the owner and any hosts they invite can create, run, and manage every program and session within that organization. You're responsible for who you invite as a host and for keeping your organization's roster accurate.
Pulse is passwordless — hosts sign in with an emailed one-time code or a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key). You're responsible for keeping access to your email and any registered passkeys secure.
4. Plans, billing & payment
Pulse offers a Free plan and a paid Team plan, each with its own limits on hosts, sessions, participants per session, and AI-generated coaching/reports (see our pricing page for current details). Larger organizations can arrange a custom Enterprise plan directly with us.
Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") is the Merchant of Record for all Pulse subscription payments. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, invoicing, and applicable sales tax/VAT for every paid plan. Pulse never receives or stores your payment card details. Your purchase is subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms.
Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing; cancelling stops future renewal but doesn't refund the current period. If we can't collect payment, your organization is moved to the Free plan and its usage is capped accordingly — no session or program data is deleted as a result. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pulse to:
- collect personal data from participants without a lawful basis to do so;
- upload or transmit unlawful, harassing, or infringing content;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Pulse's systems; or
- circumvent the usage limits of your plan (e.g. by creating multiple organizations to evade session or participant caps).
6. Participant data & your responsibility as a host
When a participant joins one of your sessions, Pulse collects their display name, email address, and their responses to that session's content on your instruction — Pulse acts as a data processor on your behalf for that data, and you (the Customer) act as the data controller. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your participants' information and for telling them how it will be used. See our Data Processing Addendum for the terms governing this processing.
7. AI-generated content
On plans where it's enabled, Pulse uses a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to generate coaching messages and personalized end-of-session reports based on a participant's answers. This content is generated automatically and, while we design the prompts carefully, it isn't reviewed by a human before it's shown or emailed, and it may occasionally be inaccurate. AI-generated content is provided for training/development purposes only and comes with no warranty of accuracy.
8. Intellectual property
Pulse owns the Pulse platform, including its software, design, and any programs in the global program library. Programs you author or fork into your own organization remain yours — you own your program content and your participants' response data, and you can export it at any time.
9. Termination
You can stop using Pulse and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, we retain your data only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes (see our Privacy Policy), and will delete or return it on request.
10. Warranties & limitation of liability
Pulse is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify account owners by email.
